US based Senior MinIO + Dremio Architect will be responsible for leading and developing our client – a Fortune500 financial organization. This is a key role which will report directly to our President. You are well versed in many aspects of data platform design and implementation. You can lead by example and be a team player. Primary Responsibilities and Activities

• Become a trusted advisor for our clients, technical and sales teams.
• Understand business and technology landscape, recognize challenges and opportunities and translate it into an actionable roadmap.
• Design and present architecture and implementation strategy to ensure client’s success.
• Work with the customers to approve and implement proposed solutions.
• Own client’s challenges and business results.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and our partner organizations at all levels to ensure maximum success and growth.

Skills

To support responsibilities encompassed within this role, the candidate must possess an equally broad set of skills.

• Ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple and understandable way.
• Deep understanding of distributed compute concepts.
• Experience with on-prem and cloud-based data lakes, BI architecture, and tools.
• Understanding of data virtualization, its role, benefits, and challenges.
• Experience with various types of data pipelines.
• Familiarity with core concepts of the data file formats.
• Ability to write basic code with Python, Shell script. Expert level of SQL.
• Ability to understand execution DAG and to interpret it into code optimization (SQL, etc.).
• Ability to connect dots and troubleshoot complex problems involving all levels of infrastructure and code.

Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

Experience:

• 10+ years industry experience
• Experience with a number of big data / distributed compute tools such as Apache Spark
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with AWS
• Experience with Hadoop infrastructure
• Experience with cloud-based and hybrid data platforms
• Ability to understand DAG and utilize it for optimization
• Experience as Dremio developer/architect is a plus
• Experience as MinIO developer/architect is a plus
• Best candidate acts as Dremio product evangelist and can also provide training and troubleshooting

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science
• Master of CS or equivalent is a plus
• Agile, product, and/or technical certifications a plus
